DALLAS (KDAF) — Chewy Claus is providing free pet adoptions this weekend at participating shelters across the country, including Dallas Animal Services and DFW Humane Society of Irving Inc.
Chewy Claus is a program where pets can submit their holiday letters, and thousands of pets have written to Chewy Claus asking for the same thing – a loving home. Chewy Claus is spreading cheer by delivering gifts, donating food and supplies, and making thousands of pet wishes come true.
From Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1, you can find a participating shelter here .
Additionally, Chewy and Best Friends Animal Society are sponsoring free transportation anywhere in the U.S. for anyone interested in adopting Norberta , a 10-year-old Pitbull mix who has been hoping for a home for more than four years. She was living in a shelter with medical issues – an eye ulcer and in need of knee surgery – which landed her on the euthanasia list. She was saved by Best Friends Animal Society and nursed back to health, but hasn’t received any interest from adopters. Learn more about Norberta here .
