NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Temperatures fall rapidly under clear skies tonight. Freeze watches and warnings have been issued throughout parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. Northwest Louisiana and Central Mississippi are under a Freeze Warning through 9 a.m. today
A Freeze Watch has been issued TONIGHT for Central Tangipahoa, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Northern Livingston, Northern St. Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana Parishes. Temps are expected to drop to 31 or 32 degrees. Frost may be seen in the morning.
Northwest winds will be breezy until the weekend. A small craft advisory is issued until Saturday.
Highs today max out in the upper 50s. Skies clear in the morning after some late night/ early morning shower and thunderstorm activity near the coast.
