Do Eagles Need To Worry About Cowboys?

The Philadelphia Eagles have a three-game lead in the race for the NFC East title. By that reality, the organization should be feeling quite comfortable with their 9-2 record.

There’s reason to be a tad wary, though, if you were an Eagles fan.

Last season, the Eagles boasted a multi-game division lead as well before a late-season collapse handed the Dallas Cowboys the title. While the 5-7 Cowboys aren’t necessarily a threat to the division race at this point, there’s reason to be somewhat concerned for the Eagles.

In Dallas’ current two-game winning streak, the Cowboys have found ways to beat both the Washington Commanders and New York Giants. In the case of the Commanders, the Cowboys were able to go on a scoring run that knocked off a Washington team that had their own goals for the division title.

With a defense that has been dominant over the last two weeks, the Cowboys finally have some momentum this season even with Cooper Rush leading the way.

Rush as a starter is 6-3 for the Cowboys while completing just under 60% of his passes with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. Those numbers go back to the 2022 season when he led Dallas to a 4-1 record without Dak Prescott in the lineup.
