Freeze Warnings Posted For Texas & Louisiana Remain in Effect Tonight

Good afternoon everyone. We continue to watch cold air on the move as a front sinks down all the way to the Gulf Coast and down across the Southeast.
Ahead of it, we have scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms across parts of Georgia, North Carolina, and Suuth Carolina. While the action is isolated, some of those storms have had a history of damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, and torrential rain. Behind it, we have cold air moving in tonight, with freeze watches posted across the area mentioned for temps dipping to near or below the freezing mark.
Elsewhere, freeze warnings have been extended east, northeast, and south across parts of Oklahoma, Alabama, and Mississippi as cold air advances into the area. For Alabama and Mississippi, those freeze warnings are for tomorrow night into Saturday. with temperatures expected to approach the 25 degree mark.
Overnight tonight, freeze warnings remain in place across parts of Texas, upper Louisiana, and now into the southeast corner of Oklahoma. Please take action to protect late-season crops and livestock.
