Donny Richmond, of Sevier County, was recently recognized as Best Christian & Gospel Male Artist by the 2024 International Fair Play Country Music Awards In Europe, based in the Netherlands. The FPCM is the most extensive music awards program in the world. This year’s production featured 255 Categories, and was represented by 38 countries across the globe. Donny was also awarded Best Traditional Cover Song for his Christian recording of “How Much Do You Love Him?”, written by Country Gospel Music Association President Billy Hale, and legendary songwriter / radio announcer Lin Butler. Richmond has hosted the international Awards program 3 of the last 4 years, and in 2021 was inducted into their Hall Of Fame.
