Publix: 3 New Stores Coming to Florida in December

Founder George W. Jenkins opened the first Publix market in Winter Haven, Florida in 1930. The company, which maintains its headquarters in the state, has since grown to nearly 1,400 stores across eight the southeastern US. The majority of these stores—nearly 900 locations—remain in the Sunshine State where it all began.

The company website has announced openings of 3 new stores for Florida coming in December:

  • 9179 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909—-Opening December 5th
  • 2895 N Narcoossee Rd, Saint Cloud—-Opening December 12th
  • 3100 S Ocean Dr, Hollywood, FL—-Opening December 12th

The Palm Bay and Saint Cloud stores will be 47K+ square feet, the Hollywood store will be smaller at just over 25K sq. ft.

Publix employs over 250K associates and claims to be America’s largest employee-owned company.
