Sunday pedestrian accidents keep Honolulu EMS busy

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu Emergency Medical Services were kept busy on Sunday, Dec. 1, responding to multiple accidents involving pedestrians on Oahu.

Paramedics first responded to an accident in the vicinity of Waialae Ave and St. Louis Drive around 9 a.m.

DOT advises travelers to arrive early at Hilo International Airport

Upon arrival, officials learned an 82-year-old man was struck by a car and suffered a head injury.

He was administered advanced life support at the scene before being transported to an emergency room in serious condition.

In Kailua, paramedics responded to an incident involving a 60-year-old female who was hit by a bus.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. and left the woman with serious, extensive injuries.

She was later hospitalized in serious condition.
