US Sends $725 Million in Military Aid to Ukraine

Additional Coverage:

The US is planning to provide Ukraine with another $725 million in military aid, including systems to counter drones and munitions for its HIMARS artillery systems. The munitions may include the longer-range ATACMS missiles, which Ukraine has requested to target Russian territory.

The package also includes anti-personnel land mines to hinder Russian and North Korean ground forces in the Kursk region.

Speculation surrounds the future of US-Ukraine relations under the incoming Trump administration, which has pledged to end the conflict. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has suggested that NATO membership for territories controlled by Kyiv could potentially conclude the active phase of the war.
