Travis Hunter’s Heisman Odds Take Major Shift on Friday Night

Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter was a healthy favorite to win the Heisman Trophy on the DraftKings Sportsbook Friday afternoon.

Things changed following a big first half by Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty during the Mountain West Championship Game. Jeanty made a big play with under a minute to play in the second quarter when he ran for a 75-yard touchdown to help the Broncos go up 21-0 on UNLV.

Jeanty finished the first half with 132 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Per DK Sportsbook, before the Broncos game, Hunter, the Buffaloes cornerback/wide receiver, had -5000 odds to win the Heisman Trophy. Those odds dipped to -700 at halftime of the Mountain West championship.

Jeanty’s odds were +1,200 before the first half. At halftime, the 21-year-old running back had +400 odds to win college football’s most prestigious individual award.

Hunter does not have a chance to improve his odds by playing this weekend in a conference championship.

The Buffaloes finished their regular season with a 52-0 win over Oklahoma State on Nov. 29.
