N.Y. Gov. Hochul: Over 50K tickets issued in Thanksgiving blitz across state

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Police across New York cracked down on drivers over the Thanksgiving holiday. During the travel period for Thanksgiving, law enforcement issued 50,466 tickets for various vehicle and traffic law violations, including dangerous, drunk and distracted driving around the Empire State, the governor’s office recently reported. It was a 42% increase compared to last year’s campaign.
