The last couple of months have seen a substantial number of manufacturing job losses in Florida. In November, I wrote about how Dart Industries, Inc., Kimball Electronics, Nidec Motor Corporation, Stryker Sustainability Systems, and Anchor Glass Container Corporation announced layoffs. And now, in December, we can add a new company to the list – Resilience Government Services, Inc.
About Resilience Government Services, Inc.: According to Govtribe.com, this is a biomanufacturing company. It has held federal contract awards, including contracts with the Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health.
According to Highergov.com, in its history, it has been awarded around $829.9 million in contracts, subcontracts, grants, and subgrants.
The Upcoming Florida Layoffs: The company recently sent a warn letter dated December 5, 2024, with the subject line “Re: Notice of Mass Layoff” to the Florida Department of Commerce.
In it, the company indicated that it “plans to effectuate a ‘mass layoff‘ under the Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act” beginning February 3, 2025, and ending on June 1, 2025, at the 13200 NW Nano Court location in Alachua, Florida.
