GREENSBORO, N.C. – This year, WFMY News 2 turned 75!. On December 8, 1969, it was tree lighting time in Greensboro. On that day, member’s of the city’s Youth Council gathered at Friendly Shopping Center to light a Christmas tree. There was also a band, carolers and even Santa!
