COLUMN: Time for the 46th annual Charlotte County Chamber Christmas Parade

On Saturday, Dec. 14, the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce will have its 46th annual Christmas Parade.

There will be 80-plus entries this year, all decorated in the theme of Characters of Christmas.

There will be floats, cars, trucks, boats, marching bands and dance performance groups.

It’s our annual community event you will not want to miss!

The parade kicks off at noon from the Charlotte Performing Arts Center. The parade route goes along Carmalita Street then goes north on Taylor Street and disbands at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center.

If you’re looking for a magical experience, I encourage you to bring out the whole family and come out early to secure a great viewing spot along the parade path.

Of course, we will have a special visitor all the way from the North Pole.

We hope to see you out there on Saturday!
