Sisters of St. Joseph begin due diligence on potential sale on local properties

After generations of helping those, the due diligence process to acquire a local care center for generations of aging people has officially begun.

Leaders from the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Saint Mary’s Home of Erie, and LECOM Health Institute for Successful Living announced on Thursday they have started the process to evaluate the potential Saint Mary’s at Asbury Ridge and the Sisters’ Community Living Center (CLC) to LECOM Health.

Sisters of St. Joseph seek buyers for several properties

That’s expected to take several months. The sale would include the Community Living Center, which would continue to operate as a residence for the sisters.

No purchase price has been released.

The Sisters started to seek potential buyers back in September this year to take over the CLC property to continue its operation as a residence for the Sisters and Saint Mary’s was seeking a buyer to continue to operations at the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).

Now, the Sisters of Saint Joseph are seeking buyers after deeming it no longer feasible to operate alone.
