During the first weekend in December, sightseers on local whale-watching tours were treated to a rare experience in Dana Point’s world-famous waters. Blue Whales, which are usually seen in the hotter summer months, were spotted off South Orange County’s coast, specifically by a whale-watching tour operated by Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching.
