A local pottery collector and expert is putting up thousands of dollars worth of locally made pottery pieces up for auction this weekend.
Wheeler Auctioneering, located at 10004 Route 98 in Edinboro, will be helping to sell more than 400 pieces crafted by renowned Cambridge Springs potter Bill Campbell.

His work has been sold across the country. The owner of the collection said he wants to share a small portion of his collection with the region.
In total, he claims to own more than 4,000 pieces of Campbell’s artwork.

“This is really a reflection of American folkart and American art at it’s finest. I think that people continue to come back to this level of quality and this level of beauty because there’s nothing like it left. We have other famous potters that are spread across the nation that have influenced and been influenced by Bill,” said Zach Cole, Campbell’s Pottery expert and collector.
