NEX T 24 H O U R S : It is recommended to continue to monitor you local road conditions before traveling. Temperatures will continue to rise to above freezing through Sunday, aiding in the melting of any ice on roadways. Although, additional freezing is possible through the night. While main roads and interstates may clear up by Sunday, less-traveled roads or roads in narrow valleys will hold on to ice longer. Find local road conditions at your state’s DNR site: Wisconsin: https://511wi.gov/ Minnesota: https://511mn.org/ Iowa: https://511ia.org/. Dense morning fog is likely Sunday morning and has the chance to last into the early afternoon. Overall, cloudy skies and warmer temperatures should be expected for Sunday.

LO O KI NG A HE A D : Dry conditions briefly return on Sunday before another system brings widely scattered light rain showers to the region on late Sunday night and Monday.  Rain appears as the dominant precip type for this event, so we do not expect any travel issues.  Overall, the remainder of the week looks colder (not as cold as our recent cold spell) with some light snow opportunities Tuesday and Thursday night. At this point, those snow chances and amounts are low (10-30%).  High temperatures return to the 20s by Wednesday with slightly cooler conditions through Saturday. High temperatures look to warm slightly for the beginning of the new work week (maybe back to freezing).
