University of Hawaii-West Oahu grads gear up for future

HONOLULU (KHON2) — About 250 University of Hawaii students are gearing up to take the next step in their life’s journey.

The UH-West Oahu students received their diplomas Saturday morning in a mid-year commencement ceremony held on campus.

About 160 students participated in the ceremony.

They earned their bachelor’s degrees in applied sciences, business administration, creative media, and cybersecurity — to name a few.

The school also honored outgoing UH president David Lassner who is retiring at the end of the year’s term.

UH Manoa will hold its commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 21 at 9 a.m. in the Stan Sheriff Center.

UH Hilo will also hold its commencement on Saturday. Dec. 21 at the UH Hilo Vulcan Gym.
