2 critically injured after shooting at Murfreesboro hotel

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Investigators are searching for the suspect accused of shooting two people outside of a hotel in Murfreesboro, leaving them critically injured.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD), authorities responded to the Clarion Inn on Old Fort Parkway just after 11 p.m. on Saturday where a man and a woman with gunshot wounds were found in front of the hotel.

Officials said the victims had been shot while inside a vehicle located behind the hotel, and the vehicle struck a wall while trying to get away.

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.

No additional information on their condition or a suspect was immediately released as the investigation continues.
