PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Officials are investigating after a body was found floating in the Willamette River late Sunday morning, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
Just after 11:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the Willamette River near the Morrison Bridge on reports of a body seen floating in the water.

Officials said an MCSO boat recovered the body and took it to the medical examiner for further investigation.
The cause of death and the identity of the victim have not yet been released.
