Student hospitalized after bus wreck in east Charlotte: Officials

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A student was hospitalized as a precautionary measure after a school bus was involved in a wreck in east Charlotte, officials with Charlotte-Mecklenbburg Schools confirmed with Queen City News Monday morning.

Crews responded to calls regarding the incident involving CMS Bus E763 around 6 a.m. by Robinson Church Road and Castle Garden Lane. Two students were onboard and out of an abundance of caution, one of those students was transported to an area medical center to be evaluated, CMS confirmed.

Medic also stated that two people were transported from the scene with serious injuries.

CMS said the bus was struck by another vehicle.
