Public funding for the Haslams’ domed stadium is a nonstarter

I read Jerry Bohinc’s Dec. 1 guest column (Wherefore art thy dome? A Burke lakefront rethink”) concerning the Browns ownership quest for a domed stadium. His near-sighted argument to fund the project with public money is not a good use of taxpayer funds. The Cleveland public schools, library, local hunger and affordable housing are much more worthy projects. Recently, the Haslams peeled off about $800 million to purchase a quarter interest in the Milwaukee Bucks.
