Mt. Juliet police arrest Nashville man, recover drugs as part of ‘Operation Safe Shopper’

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — While engaged in “ Operation Safe Shopper “, the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD) arrested a Nashville man for shoplifting — and found more.

The MJPD posted to social media that authorities caught a 48-year-old Nashville man for shoplifting before discovering that the man was wanted for theft in both Nashville and Smyrna.

When officers searched his vehicle, they found crack cocaine, powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia as well.

“Thanks to proactive policing and with our local merchants, we’re keeping Mt. Juliet a safer place for everyone,” the post reads, in part.
