(WGHP) — Cloudy skies remain this evening with temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. Due to the amount of moisture in the air and the cloud cover, our temperatures won’t move much into the overnight hours.
We’ll wake up in the upper 40s with mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday. Prepare for a warmer day with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid 60s. A stray shower is possible, however the chance for rain is 20%.
A cold front will approach the Tar Heel state on Wednesday which will spark another round of rain chances. Before the front moves through, temperatures will remain warm with morning lows in the low 50s and afternoon highs in the mid 60s. The chance for rain/storms is 50%.
Mostly sunny skies on Thursday with temperatures near-normal thanks to Wednesday’s cold front. We’ll start the day in the low 40s with afternoon highs in the low 50s.
Friday morning will be even colder with morning temperatures in the low 30s and afternoon highs in the low 50s. Stray showers are possible on Friday as a second, reinforcing, cold front moves through. The reinforcing cold front will bring even colder air as we head into the weekend before Christmas.
