Bay Area man arrested in Orange County human trafficking sting

IRVINE, California ( MyCaliforniaNews ) — A 35-year-old man from Stockton was arrested in Orange County after allegedly attempting to recruit a woman for human trafficking, according to the Irvine Police Department. The suspect, Lawrence Everett Henderson, was taken into custody by detectives from the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF).Henderson had been communicating with an undercover detective posing as a female over social media, the department stated. He drove from the Bay Area to Orange County to meet the supposed recruit, only to be met by law enforcement officers. Upon his arrest, a loaded Glock pistol with a 30-round magazine and a 50-round drum magazine was found in his vehicle.Henderson was booked at the Anaheim Police Department Jail on multiple charges, including pandering, attempted pimping, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting arrest, and possessing high-capacity magazines. The Irvine Police Department expressed gratitude to the OCHTTF detectives for their efforts in combating human trafficking and rescuing victims.
