Home Instead Senior Care making sure Erie seniors are not forgotten this holiday

At Christmas, many of us donate toys to make sure every child has something under the tree Christmas morning.

But did you know there are about 500 senior citizens, right here in our region, who have been identified as being lonely or won’t be receiving a gift this year?

Home instead is hoping you can help.

All you do is grab an ornament off of the “Be a Santa to a Senior” tree, purchase the gift wish on that ornament, then drop off the gift and ornament to home instead or any one of the 13 Christmas tree locations.

Right now there are about 200 seniors who will not be getting a gift.

“Every year there’s more and more seniors who are isolated or lonely and if we can let them know that we have not forgotten about them the community has not forgotten about them that they still matter and they are loved that’s huge that’s huge,” she said.
