Caltrans Bay Area-District 4, in partnership with Caltrans HQ and the California State Transportation Agency, is urging drivers to turn on their headlights when it rains. Many vehicles have headlights set to “auto,” which often fails to activate during the day. To improve visibility in rainy conditions, make sure your headlights are on, whether it’s day or night. A simple rule of thumb: if your windshield wipers are on, your headlights should be too. Better visibility means safer driving in wet conditions. Stay safe, and remember to check your vehicle settings before hitting the road, Caltrans District 4 reminded the public.
