Sew Blessed, a group of 18 quilters, is bringing a little warmth to citizens of Western North Carolina, still suffering from Hurricane Helene’s devastation on Sept. 27. The group meets every Thursday at Sherry’s So What? in Henrico. Store owner Sherry Newton is the brains behind the idea of sending quilts to the region.
