North East residents frustrated by continuous lack of garbage pickups

Waste management customers in North East said they haven’t seen many garbage trucks lately, and now they want answers.

“The second week of November and before Thanksgiving, we went three weeks where they didn’t pick up our garbage, and we called them several times, and they just kept putting us off and putting us off,” said Paul Reinken, North East resident.

Reinken’s Zoom doorbell camera recently captured footage of one waste management employee taking out his frustration after collecting three weeks’ worth of trash.

“It’s like, it’s not our fault. If they came every week like they were supposed to it would be one can and no issues,” said Reinken.

However, some residents said when they call waste management, they’ve been told the company is dealing with staffing and mechanical issues.
