Three adults and two children were seriously injured in a school bus crash in Orange County on Monday afternoon, fire officials say.
The Orange County Fire Authority says a call came in at 3:07 p.m. reporting a crash between an SUV and a small school bus near Santiago Canyon Road and Red Rock Canyon Trail.
Crews responded and transported five patients who were in “stable but serious condition,” OCFA said. The patients’ ages and identities were not disclosed, and it was unclear which vehicles they were riding in when the crash happened.
Officials believe the SUV crashed into the school bus, but no further information was provided about the cause of the crash or if speed was determined to be a factor.
