Orange County man charged in fentanyl-related death

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida — A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the drug-related death of a local resident. Daquan Jaques Brown, of Orange County, Florida, faces a felony charge of Death Caused by Unlawful Distribution of Fentanyl.The Orange County Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed that Brown sold the drugs that led to the death of 49-year-old Michael Thomas March in August 2023. Toxicology reports indicated the presence of fentanyl, cocaine, and mitragynine in March’s system, according to the sheriff’s office.”Drug dealers, consider this a warning. If you sell deadly fentanyl in our community, we will do everything we can to put you behind bars and keep you there,” stated the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
