A 77-year-old woman died after her car crashed into an unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot in Long Beach, authorities said Tuesday.
The crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of East Fourth Street, west of Orange Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The woman was the sole occupant of a 2000 Toyota Corolla that was moving slowly through the parking lot when it collided with the parked vehicle, police said.
It appeared the woman may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash, police said. Paramedics took her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
It does not appear speed, distracted or impaired driving were factors, police said, as the investigation continued.
