The incident happened around 1 p.m. on Dec. 14.

“We guess she was looking for a glow-up, but instead got a reality check,” deputies said.

SJSO said the suspect was “clearly not expecting to be outmaneuvered by deputies on horseback, (and) attempted to make a quick getaway to her vehicle.”

The woman was detained her before she could even get the car door open, SJSO said. She reportedly admitted it was her first time “trying something like this,” and had several cosmetic products worth about $800 in her bag.

The woman was cited for petty theft.
