After writing articles about restaurants in Florida for quite a while, I’ve come to believe that there are burger eateries that Floridians truly want in the Sunshine State in part due to scarcity (based on reader comments.) One is White Castle. Cook Out is another. But perhaps the most coveted is In-N-Out. I am not reporting on In-N-Out today, but I am reporting on a unique, new location in Florida of a chain that is often compared to In-N-Out – and that is Shake Shack.
About Shake Shack In Florida: This chain started as a hot dog stand. And their mission was to raise funds for a public art project – not to become a restaurant chain.
Today, Shake Shack is a restaurant chain, but its people-first philosophy remains unchanged. They partner with charitable groups in their communities and strive to participate in “responsible business.”
Shake Shack has been taste-tested against In-N-Out Burger by publications like Eat This Not That, Tasting Table, and Business Insider.
It has been compared to Five Guys by Serious Eats.
