Four men from Atlanta are behind bars in Franklin County, charged with passing counterfeit bills.
According to Lavonia Police, on Tuesday afternoon the four, identified as Reece Smith, Michael Buchanan, Abdul Sow, and Khadija Hanne got off I-85 in Lavonia and stopped at a local restaurant to eat where they paid for their meal with counterfeit money.
An alert employee at the restaurant realized the money was counterfeit, called 911 then watched as the four went across the street to a convenience store…
