Court records revealed new details in a deadly south Charlotte shooting that happened Friday morning.

Channel 9 reported when Ebonee Rahman was accused of killing 42-year-old Lashunda Shmicka McLendon on Archdale Drive, near Nations Ford Road.

According to the affidavit for Rahman’s arrest, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to call about a fight involving both women hours before McLendon was shot.

Rahman is now facing charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

CMPD says that on Dec. 13, after the initial fight between the two women, officers received a separate call reporting McLendon had been shot.

Surveillance footage from the nearby Archdale Minimart showed that just before 10 a.m., Rahman approached McLendon, removed her jacket, and threw it to the ground. After a fight between the pair, Rahman walked toward the parking lot of the Archdale Minimart. About 30 seconds later, police say Rahman turned around, met with an unknown man, and retrieved a handgun from his jacket.
