FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 26-year-old Fresno man was sentenced Wednesday to 50 years to life in prison for the murder and the attempted murder of two Fresno men, the Fresno County District Attorney said.
The DA says Tywain Demetrius Robinson was sentenced by Judge Gary Orozco of the Fresno County Superior Court after a Fresno County jury found Robinson guilty following a weeks-long trial that concluded on October 11, 2024.
According to the DA on May 7, 2021, Isaac Jackson and Terrell Williams drove to Robinson’s apartment to check on a family member.

When they arrived, the DA said Robinson fired his gun from inside the apartment, through the closed front door at Jackson and Williams. As both victims fled to their vehicle, Robinson followed and continued to fire multiple times.
Jackson was shot and killed while he sat in the front passenger’s seat. Williams was not hit but drove away and flagged down a Fresno Police officer near Community Regional Medical Center.
