Complaints continued to pile up against Waste Management, recently renamed “WM,” and JET 24/FOX 66 reporter Nicole Lee learned that the Better Business Bureau has heard complaints about the trash pickup company for years.
WM officials have said delays were a result of the Black Friday storm, but the company had its Better Business Bureau accreditation revoked well before that storm.
On October 30, the Better Business Bureau in Houston where WM is headquartered revoked the mammoth and quickly growing company’s accreditation.
The decision by the BBB came after a pattern of complaints over the past three years.
North East residents frustrated by continuous lack of garbage pickups
According to its president, the Better Business Bureau in Houston has received a higher number of complaints about waste management than any other company.
“It’s been going on a long, long time. We met with this company monthly for about three years,” said Dan Parsons, president of the BBB of Huston.
Parsons said multiple complaints came into the BBB daily from customers all around the country and Canada. Fairview resident Vincent Dimichele, who hasn’t had his recycles picked up for over a month, feels their pain.
