You know what, Erie? You surprised me. I mean, these polls are always interesting, but you could have knocked me over with a feather this time. I asked for your favorite traditional Christmas cookie, and you picked the one I thought would be middle of the pack at best.
But there it is in black and white (not to be confused with Black and white cookies): Iced Sugar Cookies at the top of the pile, followed by Peanut Butter Blossoms, which are those peanut butter cookies with Hershey’s kisses in the middle of them. Definitely my pick. Or Gingersnaps, which absolutely no one voted for, which blew my mind, as one who prefers them the most.
Those far outpaced other favorites, such as Gingerbread (totally different from Gingersnaps, mind you), Chocolate Crinkles and Peanut Butter Cup Cookies.
Well, what the heck? I guess Iced Sugar Cookies are fine, even if they are the hardest to make when you consider all the work and skill that goes into making them. I mean, they have to be not only tasteful, but beautiful. So I’m going to go ahead and assume that most of the people picking them are not the people who are making them.
