Hot dog enthusiasts in Florida have reason to celebrate as Portillo’s, a beloved Chicago-based restaurant chain, is expanding its presence on the state’s Gulf Coast. The company has filed preliminary plans to open a new location in Bradenton, bringing their signature Chicago-style hot dogs and other street food classics closer to South Florida.
Location Details
According to property records, the proposed Portillo’s restaurant will be situated in the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour plaza, located off State Road 64 East and Grand Harbour Parkway. The new spot will feature a 6,250-square-foot building with a 500-square-foot patio, dual drive-thru lanes, and a 79-space parking lot.
Closer to South Florida
Currently, Portillo’s has eight locations in Florida, including in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Orlando, along with their suburban areas. While there are no Portillo’s in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach, the Bradenton location will become the closest for South Florida residents eager to enjoy the chain’s iconic menu.
