NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn man and woman were arrested after robbing a man of a bag containing $140,000 outside of a Long Island bank in July, authorities said.
According to detectives, just before 9 a.m. on Monday, July 29, Gloria Chamorro, 33, and Luis Lizardo, 45, both of Cypress Hills, approached a 36 year old man in the Bank of America parking lot located at 20 Jerusalem Ave. in Hicksville and forcefully removed a bag from him containing $140,000.
Chamorro and Lizardo were helped by three others, officials said.
While fleeing, one of the robbers displayed a firearm towards the victim and two others who attempted to intervene, Nassau County police said.
