Wendy’s has removed at least a dozen locations from it’s company website, a sign that previously announced closures may be coming to Michigan soon.
Wendy’s currently has 226 locations in cities across Michigan, including in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Marquette, Traverse City and Lansing among others.
Wendy’s has not officially announced which locations the company is closing, although some sites that have disappeared from the website have posted signs directing customers to other locations.
In October, the fast-food chain announced during an earnings report that it would close 140 lower-performing outlets by the end of the year. It did not say which locations would be affected.
A fast-food chain spokesperson, in a Daily Telegram story said “on the company’s recent quarterly earnings call in late October, we shared plans to close some restaurants following a strategic review of our global system.
“I can share that the restaurants located at 644 S. Main St. in Adrian and 1301 W. Chicago Blvd. in Tecumseh have permanently closed,” the spokesperson said.
