A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting Tuesday afternoon left one 17-year-old boy dead and another in critical condition.
The Erie County Coroner has released the name of that victim after completing an autopsy early Wednesday morning.

Erie police are searching for suspects and continue to have the crime scene blocked off for ongoing investigation.
Two 17-year-old boys were shot Tuesday afternoon in what police said was a drive-by.
It happened near the intersection of West 31st and Liberty Streets and gunfire resulted in the death of an Erie teen.
Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook identified him as Armani Cantu of Erie after completing an autopsy Wednesday morning.

“I’ve ruled the death a homicide as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest,” he said. “He was taken back to the ER but the wounds were such that they were not survivable.”
