The case of a mystery man reported at the scene of several late-night crashes on a rural road in Nebraska has taken a strange twist. WOWT reported that they received a voicemail from a caller claiming to be one of the crash victims, asking them to take down the story .
“Hello, this is Garrison Beach, and I would like the news article about the accident to be removed,” the caller said.
However, the victim, Garrison Beach , says he is not behind the phone call.
“I just think it’s crazy that we’re at the point of someone calling in and impersonating me on the phone to try and get the story taken down,” Garrison said. “That clearly wasn’t me making the phone call.
The mysterious caller left three voicemails with the news station .
Beach said that the voice of the caller sounded similar to the man who approached him and his wife after they crashed into a ditch while swerving to avoid debris in the middle of the road.
Another crash victim, Kyle Sorenson , also told the news station that the man’s voice sounded familiar. Sorenson was driving along Highway 36 when he hit a child’s bicycle that was in the middle of the road . As he got out to assess the damage, the mystery man approached him, offering help, but then left before first responders arrived.
