(FOX40.COM)— On Wednesday night, the Lodi City Council made history by voting in 24-year-old Cameron Bregman as the new Mayor.
When Bregman was 22, he made history by being the youngest person to be elected to the Lodi City Council; at 23 years old, he was the youngest to be elected Vice Mayor.

Since his teens, Bregman has been taking steps that are rare for someone his age.
While Bregman was in high school, he created his own landscaping company at 18 while working with his family’s insurance and retirement services.
At the age of 19, Bregman bought a home and sold it so that he could use the funds to run for city council.
Bregman told FOX40.com that he ran for office to advocate against crime and end the homeless epidemic.
Bregman said in an interview, “I’ve seen broken windows, broken cameras, again, feces and doorways, and sometimes you just get fed up with it.”
The GEN-Z politician and Lodi native said that it’s not about what age you are but how much wisdom you have and how hard you are willing to work.
