From writing about restaurants in Florida, I believe that many enjoy buffet restaurants since they allow you to try many different offerings for one fixed price. And from the comments I get on some of my buffet articles, it seems that many in Florida do enjoy Golden Corral. However, Florida has lost some of its Golden Corrals in recent years. A buffet that started in an old Florida Golden Corral has found some success and has grown – so much so that it will soon be opening its second, third, and fourth locations.
About Chow’s Buffet: Florida got its first Chow’s Buffet in 2023 after an old Golden Corral in South Jacksonville received a $1 million renovation. Chow’s is part of a chain with restaurants in Georgia and now Florida and the chain serves both southern favorites like fried chicken and ribs as well as Asian favorites.
The chain features 150 entrees, sides, salads, and desserts, plus seasonal dishes during the holidays. Lunch is $11.49 for adults Monday through Friday and $15.99 for the weekend. Dinner is $15.99 for adults Monday through Sunday. Senior and military discounts are available.
