In Arizona, the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open week featured the WHOOP Shot at Glory, a golf competition on the famous 16 th hole where celebrities and athletes try to hit a hole-in-one for $1 million. An active El Nino brought heavy rains to the event all week, including the closest-to-the-pin contest, where a strong storm chased spectators from that event. “I was taking cover myself when I saw a rainbow form from the passing storm,” said Arizona Republic photographer Michael Chow. “I hurriedly shot photos of groups of people leaving the event, trying to frame the rainbow with them before it disappeared, including these two pictured when their umbrellas flipped open in front of me from the winds.”
