Amarion Jamir Freeman, 20, of Powder Springs, is accused of firing 12 shots from a 9mm handgun at a man and his vehicle, which was struck several times, following a road rage incident on Dec. 8 at 2:12 p.m. at a residence at 4605 Woodbridge Drive in Powder Springs, according to an arrest warrant from the Powder Springs Police Department.
The alleged road rage incident occurred on Brownsville Road and Freeman was followed into his neighborhood. Both drivers went their separate ways until Freeman observed the other driver’s vehicle again. Freeman retrieved the gun from outside his residence and walked toward the other driver and told him to leave. When the other driver refused, Freeman opened fire, according to the warrant.
Freeman is charged with aggravated assault weapon; reckless conduct; and possession of firearm during the commission of a crime. He was arrested on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.
Freeman remains in custody without bond.
