A local café is bringing a diverse menu of sweet treats, beverages and other breakfast and brunch offerings to the area.
The wide-ranging menu of Mochi Café has something for every palate. Think handcrafted bubble waffles with ice cream, specialty coffee, pastries, crepes, and other treats like Japanese mochi cakes. Breakfast and brunch offerings like croissant sandwiches are available for those seeking something savory. The bubble waffle and crepe recipes are made locally, adding a personal touch.
Owner Nengah Mustika was inspired to open Mochi Café out of his love of desserts and a desire to create a unique culinary experience for visitors.
“I wanted to combine the comforting familiarity of breakfast and brunch with the fun and novelty of items like bubble waffles, mochi cakes, and French-inspired lunch items – baguettes, croissants, crepes, and more,” he said.
Mustika has operated several other concepts, including Nori Restaurant ; Pandan Leaves near Jacksonville International Airport; and Takoyaki in Opelika, Alabama. But Mochi Café represents his first foray into dessert cafés and brunch spaces.
