Convictions have been handed down to two South Carolina woman involved in a sex trafficking operation that went on for two decades.
The Department of Justice says court evidence shows that 24 year old Monesha Gary of Clinton, and 30 year old Rebecca Perry of Columbia, along with others, worked to exploit three minors.
The two women pleaded guilty to human trafficking conspiracy, as the operation crossed state lines. The operation went on for more than two decades. Both face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Gary and Perry will be sentenced at a later date. Indictments against two other suspects involved in the operation remain pending.
